Academic cipher

Hip-hop emerged on the underside of the killing fields of the American empire, which is ruled by excessive greed, hate and fear. When our brothers and sisters from the Bronx, the underside, tell the truth about the American empire and its excessive fear, greed and hatred - Reagan, Bush I and Bush II - but at the same time the major economic institutions of that empire seized on the genius of these young brothers and sisters and tried to transform their art of resistance into a weapon of the empire to talk about greed, fear and hatred. You got playa-hating, you got the bling bling, all that paraphernalia of suffering. That's what it is; you hold onto the gold and silver as way of distancing yourself from your pain. Now we got monopolies and the oligopolies of radio stations where the genius of Hip-Hop really can't overflow in the way that it should.
